This master bathroom renovation, done for a young and successful lawyer, was the focal point of the remodel of the whole house. The master bathroom was transformed into a spa-like oasis with a steam/rain shower head and a whirlpool tub. The textured, real stone quartz feature wall enhances the plush, upscale feel. The whirlpool tub’s ledge stretches into the shower and doubles as seating to soak up the steam, just what the client needs. The louvered doors are the focal point of the custom vanity, showing the true beauty of the natural walnut wood, in addition to the gorgeous granite counter top. Extra walnut wood shelving above the tub and toilette supplement more storage and enrich the space. Contrasting the walnut vanity, the herringbone patterned floor adds textural interest to the space.
Industrial Vintage Chicago Bathroom
Previously, there was a large chimney in the middle of this bathroom, making it difficult to create a functional space. Luckily, we were able to remove the chimney and design a spacious bathroom in a chic black, white, and gold color palette. We went for a clean industrial vintage look, reflecting the homeowner’s rock musician lifestyle. This was a fun remodel, as we got to implement an industrial style sink and vintage style shower finishes, which were both given a glamorous touch with strong pops of gold.
3 Elegant Lincoln Park Bathroom Remodels
The first full restoration of this undertaking was the gorgeous Moroccan themed master bathroom with Moroccan tile throughout, adding a visual texture to an otherwise clean and simple design. The homeowners wanted to guard the integrity of their 19th century home while blending it with some crucial updates. So, we constructed a double walk-in shower equipped with two massive rainfall shower heads, full steam capabilities and a feature teak wood platform for the bathtub. The frosted glass enclosure allows for full privacy and at the same time making the space feel larger. The second, 1920’s remodeled guest bathroom accentuates the striking cement tile floor and the wrought iron shower glass giving an industrial feel to the space. They wanted this bathroom to be just as luxurious for their guests, so we installed a large niche for any and all products to be stored and a rain shower head. The third Jack + Jill tailor-made bathroom had a limited area, but we managed to keep it open and spacious. We custom-made a cement trough sink specifically for the space and the wood base underneath to double as a storage space for towels.
Loft Bathroom Remodel
The homeowners wanted to preserve the open loft ambiance of their home so, we kept the beautiful high cement ceilings visible by installing two new sconces beside each mirror. Needing as much storage space as possible in their one bedroom condo, the large custom double vanity fixed this problem with pull-out shelving, adding a multitude of storage. Enhancing the visual interest in this elegant bathroom are the circular mirrors, the textured tiles on the side of the bath tub and the floor of the walk-in shower.
Gold Coast Master Bath Renovation
This master bathroom was completely stripped and gutted to make room for a brand new, luxurious space. The client felt this bathroom renovation was crucial in his quest for a serene and peaceful sanctuary. The teak bench in the walk-in shower, teak backsplash and teak framed mirrors exude the feeling of being at a spa. Illuminating the space with a special glow are the mini recessed LED lights above the tub. While the sliding barn door complements the space, it also hides the linen closet behind the closed door. Our client can now “escape” in his own home.
Vintage Bathrooms Renovation
This two bathroom project focused on increasing storage along with finding the balance between modernizing and protecting the vintage charm. Complementing the antique aspects of the bathrooms, we repainted the radiator in a dazzling metallic silver and swapped the pedal sinks for more contemporary, wall-mounted sinks that offer extra space. Furthermore, we crafted a sleek medicine cabinet, out of the way for a cleaner look. The octagon floor tiling pops and completes the classic look.
Joan’s Bathroom Remodel
Joan needed a place to unwind after a long day. She wanted to spend time in an elegant, luxurious, renovated bathroom. Her master bathroom originally boasted a large Jacuzzi tub so, we exchanged it for a beautiful free-standing tub, creating more space and adding visual appeal. We crafted shelving at the end of the tub that can be used for decoration or towel storage. Joan’s new shower has a hidden niche on the back wall, concealing shampoo bottles from view. We spruced up her existing vanity with a new quartz countertop and ordered custom mirrors to perfectly fit the space. Now Joan can finally indulge in a relaxing bubble bath and a glass of wine.
Chicago West Town Bathroom Remodel
This master bathroom remodel required a comprehensive redesign to fit the clients’ needs and improve the all-around functionality of the bathroom. We replaced a large/impractical tub with a second vanity, allowing each client more comfortability and space to get ready, substituted the shower doors with Starfire glass, helping prevent excess steam and finally, refunctioned a new and practical entryway joining the walk-in closet and master bathroom, providing more space. Two key ornamentations of the space include, the mustard color pocket door which really pops against the grey flooring and cabinets and the unique pendant lights with Edison bulbs.
Man Cave Bathroom
This bathroom, located in the basement, needed a sizeable makeover for optimal space and comfort. The color palette gradually lightens from the floor to ceiling, unconsciously putting your mind at ease. Needing a more spacious, functional and spa-like retreat, we constructed a walk-in shower from the ground up; the walk-in shower is tricked out with a DTV system, steam capabilities, Chroma therapy settings and two speakers inside the shower. Sounds like the perfect place to unwind!
Northshore Bathroom Renovation
This modern design appealed to the clients as they needed to maximize space in their small, corner bathroom. Installing a full height linen cabinet with pull out trays, a 2-sink vanity with U-shaped drawers, and a large niche with glass shelving in the shower gave them the increased storage they were looking for. These thoughtful storage solutions are hidden away to make the space appear clean and sleek. The additional glass tile feature at the back of the niche adds a splash of color to an otherwise contemporary look. LED lighting creates a brighter space for anyone using the magnifying mirror.
Wicker Park Bathroom Renovations
For this client, we did two distinctive bathroom remodels. The first was a tranquil master bathroom designed as a modern, serene getaway for the homeowner. As this space is smaller than typical master bathrooms, shelving and a credenza-like storage unit were introduced to store towels and toiletries without overpowering the small space. Large hexagonal tiles in the shower add a unique flair to the space and body sprays were introduced to give a spa experience to the user. The second project, the unique and eye-catching guest bathroom was created from the mind of the client to showcase her personal, artistic style. Actualizing her dream, we ordered a custom-made and custom-designed graphic cement tile from Europe. The two-drawer floating vanity makes the small space appear larger and provides a nice storage solution. Finally, the tub and tiling are a simple, clean white to contrast the bold choices used in the rest of the space.
Glenview Master Bathroom Remodeling
This bathroom renovation was done on a tight budget. As the client wanted to incorporate a more glamorous, chic look to their bathroom, we were able to creatively design and complete the look within their budget. Since this client loves the look of cherry wood, we designed the large, floating vanity with a gorgeous cherry stain finish. To contrast the cherry finish, we installed crystal knobs for an extra touch of feminine glamor. In addition to the aesthetic of the vanity, we wanted to provide our client with everything they would need, including LED lights on the bottom and a mini bar and coffee station – perfect for busy mornings or getting ready for a night out.
Lincoln Park Bath
This unit is a part of an older multi-unit condominium building and the original bathroom layout was cramped and a bit awkward. We were able to reconfigure the design of the space, relocating much of the plumbing, to create a layout that better suited the home owner’s needs. We replaced the old tub with a freestanding pedestal tub, a stunning feature, combined with the suspended shower curtain and track. Refinishing the existing door and trim, we matched the new trim around the window and the rest of the house. We complimented the wood stains with a light, natural stone finished tile and incorporated a light blue paint for the walls. The new medicine cabinet and vanity added much needed storage to the space, with brushed nickel pulls and bathroom fixtures.
Noble Square Bathroom
These clients wanted to maximize the space available in their small bathroom. Storage was the key in this renovation. We built out the area to the left of the shower, in order to create a full height “dry niche” for towels and other items to be stored. We also installed a large storage cabinet above the toilet that is finished with the same distressed wood as the 2-drawer vanity. This bathroom floor consists of a hex-pattern mosaic with large format 24’X24’ tiles in the shower and a niche carved out in the back of the shower. The green pain chosen, for the wall color, compliments the light greys finished in the room and provides a contrast to the other bright white elements.
Lakeview Master Bathroom
This blue and white master bathroom renovation features a walk-in shower, complete with a corner step and a large rectangular niche with a beautifully tiled backsplash, as well as a soaking tub with a new wall mounted faucet. We added a double sink vanity with marble countertop and a brand new skylight. Other additions include recessed lighting, a new high pressure exhaust fan and new tiling. This master bathroom now exudes a spacious, open and clean feel; ideal for these homeowners.
A remodel of this ensuite was needed, in order to give it the natural, luxurious feel the homeowner was seeking. Some of the ways we did this: increasing the the size of the walk-in shower, adding a new shower seat and using a herringbone design for the shower wall tiles. We added river pebbles for the shower floor and then accented the shower niche with gold and black glass tiles. We equipped the shower with a rainfall shower head, handheld body spray and a skylight to allow warm, natural sunlight to stream in. The rest of the bathroom features a floating linen cabinet and double sink vanity, three cylindrical lights and dark brown floor tiles.
Roscoe Village Bathroom
These homeowners went for a full renovation of their small bathroom, that just didn’t fit their needs. We updated it to a chic modern style, incorporating neutral colors and classic silhouettes. A special ordered white Wyndham vanity with a fitted wall mounted mirror optimizes the limited space in this bathroom. The tiled wall nook, formally a medicine cabinet, adds character and extra storage. We replaced the larger-than-life bathtub with a smaller tub, complete with a compact tile bench and shower niche, perfect for the display of smaller objects. We also installed a fixed glass block for the window to allow plenty of light, integrating with the bathroom’s timeless design.
This was an outdated space with a crooked structure and absence of windows which essentially made it necessary to do a complete gut rehab, in order to gain the light and airy space the homeowners wanted. The first step in achieving this was to replace the old jacuzzi bathtub with a large luxurious walk-in shower, complete with a stunning 72 inch, 3 panel, frameless glass shower. It is equipped with two body sprays, along either side of the shower, a rainfall shower head and a niche outfitted with Carrara marble. The light color of the vanity along with the Icelandic Blue painted walls added to the light and airy feel the homeowners desired. As a finishing touch, we added some sound insulation into the ceiling, to block the noise from upstairs residents, as this is a condo in a multi-unit building.
These clients were looking to update their bathroom to something that reflected more of their style and taste. We decided to keep the original tub and fixtures, however, we upgraded to new faux wood tiles that surround the tub area and bathroom floor. The original shower was also something that we decided to keep, but upgraded to new ceramic stone like tiles for the shower walls and pebble like tile for the shower floor. We installed new shower fixtures, two built in tile shelving and a custom subway tile glass niche to match the freshly painted blue walls. The dark wooden Wyndham double vanity with a marble countertop and chrome faucets are also new features. The beautiful combination of colors in this bathroom highlight the contrast of the dark wooden double vanity to the blue walls and it all flows together nicely.
Lincoln Park Bathroom
These clients contacted us to modernize the look of their bathroom. We were able to achieve this by updating certain features like adding a large dark wooden vanity, with a linen closet, a crisp white countertop, neutral colored tile backsplash, off white marble tiled shower walls, and a tiled shower niche that matched the backsplash. The mosaic tile, stacked pattern of the subway tile and thunder grey painted walls is what adds to the crisp modern aesthetic, while the herringbone patterned, large formatted, tiled floor add some intrigue to the space. The subtle tile colors, throughout the space, are complemented by the dark modern vanity and oversize mirror. The look was completed with new vanity light fixtures.
Old Town Guest Bathroom
Although this client designed the bathroom renovation herself, she came to us, to help put the plan into action to create a classic open space, perfect for guests. The original bathtub was converted into a private walk-in shower that includes marble walls, a shower bench and a multi colored glass niche. To contrast the marble features a basketweave shower floor was installed. The lovely dark wooden vanity, wall mounted faucet and stone vessel sink was complemented with a multi-colored glass tiled backsplash, matching the shower niche. The soft yellow walls accent the natural and classic look of the space.
Downtown Master & Guest Bathrooms
Part of a full, downtown condo, renovation, these homeowners wanted us to update two of their bathrooms, to achieve a clean and modern look. They wanted similar looks, making a cohesive design, but with slight variations in order to set them apart. In the master bathroom, we constructed a large frameless glass paneled walk-in shower. The built-in tub was constructed with a keen eye on the tile work, to ensure the tile continued up the sides of the enclosure seamlessly. A dark wooden vanity, custom framed mirror and mounted vanity lights completed the clean aesthetic the homeowners were looking for. The guest bathroom uses similar design elements, but with different tile, vanity and mirror finishes. The same color scheme and crisp edges tie the two spaces together nicely.
Skokie Basement Bathroom
This client came to us looking to relocate their laundry area and add an additional, full bathroom to their unfinished utility space in the basement. It was very important for this homeowner to maximize the space available and make it feel open. We installed all new plumbing lines to the basement and configured the shower so that both the rain-shower head and hand-held could be utilized and the same time. This homeowner also desired a very specific mosaic accent tile, she had seen previously, but only had a picture of. After extensive research, we were able to track down the accent tile out of state. The dark natural tones of the mosaic are complimented by the rest of the lighter wall and floor tiles, while the dark wood vanity adds a very beautiful contrast to the rest of the space.
