The custom cabinets used for this design are finished with horizontal rift sawn oak, which has a very straight woodgrain. The adjacent pantry was fitted with a custom bi-fold matching door with frosted glass inserts. The rustic feel of the space is further emphasized with distressed finish wide plank wood flooring, which due to the unique layout, runs at an angle to the cabinet walls for a unique contrast. The flat panel cabinets, stainless steel appliances and white quartz countertops finish the space adding a clean and contemporary element in juxtaposition to the rustic wood finishes while the glass subway tile backsplash adds a subtle color.
